A Bel Air estate on just over 3½ acres is going on the market for $43 million.
The property is one of the largest in Los Angeles, said listing agent Rick Hilton, a co-founder of Hilton & Hyland. Its Hollywood Regency-style home is approximately 10,000 square feet, with eight bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The estate also has a pool, a four-car garage and parking for about 15 additional cars.
The house, built in 1963, was the longtime home of William H. Doheny, Sr. and his wife Onnalee.
Mr. Doheny was the grandson of oil baron Edward Laurence Doheny, Sr., and as a child he lived in the family’s Greystone estate, which is now an 18-acre public park owned by the city of Beverly Hills.
